Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Administers strategies and adapts plans to promote students’ success and retention, in coordination with the academic units.
  • Fosters a culture of learning and engagement for MUBS students to promote satisfaction and academic success.
  • Oversees, trains, and directs student affairs officers in the university.
  • Develops relationships with faculty and staff to plan student initiatives in alignment with the University goals.
  • Prescribes, evaluates, and continuously reviews student policies and procedures in accordance with the University’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.
  • Assures effective communication with students and stakeholders.
  • Ensures student rights and responsibilities are followed and respected.
  • Monitors and evaluates student services provided on each campus, including advising, counseling, activities, and career services to ensure reliable and high quality services.
  • Examines and evaluates students’ needs, requests, and petitions as appropriate.
  • Manages the student affairs related content on the University website and publications to ensure relevance and accuracy of information.
  • Provides support to the University’s goals, mission, vision, and strategic plan.
  • Uses own initiative as appropriate.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

 

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education, Management, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in higher education administration.
  • Deep understanding of student development theories.
  • Expertise in project planning and development.
