Reporting to: Chairperson of the Graphic Design Department

Location: Jal El Dib

Purpose of the Position:

As a Graphic Design Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and inspire aspiring designers to develop their creative talents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Abiding by and upholding MUBS's mission, policies, and core values.
• Implementing assigned courses as designed and specified in approved syllabi.
• Implementing innovative teaching strategies to facilitate active learning and student engagement.
• Communicating in a timely manner with students, faculty, and staff.
• Providing constructive feedback and guidance to students, helping them improve their design skills.
• Mentoring and advising students in their creative projects and assignments.
• Meeting all course and semester timelines by the specified due dates.
• Participating in departmental meetings, committees, and other service-related activities.
• Staying current within the field of study.

Requirements:

Education: To be considered, applicants must have a Master's degree in Graphic Design or a related field and at least five years of relevant experience. A record of scholarly research and publications is desirable.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• A commitment to the academic, emotional, and social development of all students.
• Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes.
