Purpose of the Position:
As a Graphic Design Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and inspire aspiring designers to develop their creative talents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Abiding by and upholding MUBS's mission, policies, and core values.
- Implementing assigned courses as designed and specified in approved syllabi.
- Implementing innovative teaching strategies to facilitate active learning and student engagement.
- Communicating in a timely manner with students, faculty, and staff.
- Providing constructive feedback and guidance to students, helping them improve their design skills.
- Mentoring and advising students in their creative projects and assignments.
- Meeting all course and semester timelines by the specified due dates.
- Participating in departmental meetings, committees, and other service-related activities.
- Staying current within the field of study.
Requirements:
Education: To be considered, applicants must have a Master's degree in Graphic Design or a related field and at least five years of relevant experience. A record of scholarly research and publications is desirable.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A commitment to the academic, emotional, and social development of all students.
- Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes.
