It is with great enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to all members and visitors of our Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at MUBS.

It is an honor being the Dean of FHS leading a dynamic and resolute team towards the best in education, research, and healthcare. Our faculty offers a diverse range of bachelor majors, including Optometry, Nutrition, Nursing, and Public Health, each designed to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

Our approach in the field of health science education is unique; it has crossed disciplinary barriers, involved active participation of learners with emphasis placed on autonomous design and independent work among the students. Our goal is to engage students in our various research and scholarly projects. This will encourage their engagement in professional life, and foster the creativity they will need to become innovators in their professions.

We have national and international collaborations with very well-known universities in the UK and Canada.

Vision

My vision for the Faculty of Health Sciences is ambitious yet attainable. I pledge to create a conducive learning and teaching environment for the brightest minds providing them with a transformative educational experience. To achieve this, we are dedicated to:

• Recruiting and Nurturing Talent: We aim at attracting the brightest minds who can be molded into leaders through innovative teaching methods and mentorship programs.
• Improving Health on All Fronts: Improving health is not something confined in the classroom for our institution. Our goal is to engage with local communities, implement health initiatives, and contribute to the well-being of society at large.
• Enhancing the Curriculum: We constantly strive to improve our curriculum to align with the latest advancements in healthcare. We aim at equipping our students with skills that can adapt them in the ever-changing environment of healthcare.
• Fostering National and International Collaborations: We endeavor to cultivate partnerships with highly regarded domestic as well as foreign organizations in a bid to expand our knowledge frontier. These partnerships will facilitate knowledge exchange, research collaborations, and enrich the overall academic experience for our students.
• Promoting a Culture of Research: We believe in the power of research to drive innovation and advance the field of health sciences. We encourage faculty and students alike to engage in research endeavors that contribute to our understanding of health and wellness.

We hope that our joint efforts will position the Faculty of Health Sciences as a prominent force at the national and international level, producing outstanding professionals who contribute greatly towards improving healthcare.
