On Thursday the 16th of April, InterContinental Hotels Group Academy and MUBS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut. Phoenicia’s administration and department heads were joined by the MUBS Board of Trustees, Deans, and staff to celebrate the new partnership.
Mr. Georg Weinlaender, Area General Manager of Phoenicia and Le Vendôme Hotels in Beirut, assured that the new generation of MUBS students in the hospitality domain will be granted ample opportunities in Phoenicia and Le Vendôme through this partnership.
Dr. Hatem Alamy, Chairman of the Board at MUBS, highlighted the beneficial strategy of the university to benefit its students through collaboration and aprtnerships similar to the one benig launched. He stated that “through IHG Academy and Phoenicia Hotel, MUBS has found a model partner that shares its passion for excellence and commitment to cutting edge quality and originality" adding that this "shared philosophy will be translated into a strategy that reflects a common vision towards the creation of a talented student body and a competent workforce that can create a virtuous cycle to supplement what we hold most valuable in our country: its human resources.”
The event was concluded by a short video summarizing the success of IHG Academy in training and developing careers of employees in the hospitality industry all over the world. The video emphasized the role of the partnerships with local organizations and education providers.
