MUBS Health Day (Rashaya Campus)

By MUBS Communications Dept., 2000-2021.

Year after year, our Health Days continue to be a success story. The Rashaya Health Day brought out nearly 150 people to the Modern University of Business and Sciences (MUBS) in Rashaya campus.

Over thirty-five volunteers and employees from MUBS, National Wellness Network (NWN), and The Lebanese Medical Students' International Committee (LeMSIC) gathered on October 4th to take part in this event.

The event was a joint creation of MUBS and NWN with the support of other partners to promote wellness and health. The goal was to provide people in the region with medical care including blood tests and Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Test.

The event included a presentation by Professor Bassem Kaissi (Vice President for International Affairs at MUBS) about the “Innovative digital Skills & Teaching Methods for Effective Health Education in Lebanon & Syria – DIGIHEALTH” Erasmus+ project.

Coordinated by Linnaeus University (Sweden), the project aims at promoting excellence and enhancing the teaching and learning approaches in health education in Lebanon and Syria.

Professor Kaissi explained the main activities envisaged in the project and focused on the progress achieved so far at MUBS.

In alignment with their mission, MUBS and NWN continuously empower community members through a number of projects to live a healthier lifestyle with hopes of setting the foundation for better communities. NWN staff members including dieticians and optometrists took the extra mile with the patients and helped make MUBS’ and NWN’s vision a reality by helping to deliver outstanding healthcare support to all participants.
