First Aid Training hosted by The Hasbaya Medical Social Center at NWN

By MUBS Communications Dept., 10 Nov, 2021.

The Hasbaya Medical Social Center at the National Wellness Network (NWN) hosted a First Aid training day for a group of 30 participants. First Aid is the treatment or care given to a person who has been injured or is ill until specialist medical help arrives. The training was split into two parts: a lecture and then hands-on training.

The classes were led by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), who instructed the participants on how to respond in cases of suffocation, fainting, vehicle accidents, fire injuries, and other emergencies requiring primary care. Being able to respond and react appropriately in these situations is a critical skill for assisting oneself and others in life-threatening situations.

Consequently, NWN is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all of its beneficiaries by providing facilities that offer a variety of services, such as raising awareness through activities and programs that encourage treatment, exercise, self-care, and longevity for people of all ages.

Thus, this training confirms MUBS’s commitment towards UN sustainable development goals, specifically, SDG 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing) and SDG 17 (Building Partnerships).
