The Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) hosted a "Networking Event" with its partner Cardiff Metropolitan University on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Badaro Campus. The event aimed to introduce prospective high school students, ISB students who might be interested in transferring, and professionals who are willing to pursue their MBA degrees to the dual-degree program and the UK education system at MUBS.

The event commenced with the Lebanese and British National anthems, followed by a welcoming speech by Mrs. Mariam Fadel, Assistant to the Vice President of MUBS, who introduced Dr. Nael Alami, Vice President of MUBS, to speak about the partnership between MUBS and Cardiff Metropolitan University. A video about MUBS was also played to give the audience an overview of the institution.

The highlight of the event was the presentation by Mr. Mike Flynn, a Principal Lecturer Trans-National Education within Cardiff School of Management, who spoke about the programs Cardiff Metropolitan University offers at MUBS and why the programs are the best choice for students. Mr. Flynn has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and has worked with several partners across the globe. He is also involved at a wider level as a QAA Subject Reviewer, ILAM module designer, external panelist on hospitality-based courses outside Cardiff Met, and external examiner at other universities. He is also Deputy Chair of the School of Management Collaborative Sub-Group.

After the presentation, the audience heard a success story from Ms. Laura Ajab, who expressed her satisfaction while studying the MBA-Health Sector Management program. They also watched a video testimony from the famous Lebanese Basketball player Ameer Saoud, who graduated from with a degree in MSc. Sport Management and Leadership, expressing how the degree he gained helped him manage the Riyadi Club. The event concluded with a buffet, providing the audience with an opportunity to mingle while enjoying delicious food and drinks.

The event was a great success in exposing prospective students and professionals to the benefits of studying the British Programs at MUBS. It provided a valuable opportunity to introduce Cardiff Metropolitan University degrees offered in collaboration with MUBS and highlight the benefits of studying in an international and diverse academic environment.
