By MUBS Communications Dept., 2023.

A group of high school students from Al-Irfan High School recently visited the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) in Damour and Aley. The aim of the visit was to introduce the students to the university's diverse range of majors and exceptional opportunities.

The students were greeted by MUBS faculty and administrative staff who guided them through different booths set up by the various departments at the university. The booths included the International School of Business, the School of Health Sciences, the Computer Science Department, the School of Education, the English Department, the Social Work Department, and the Graphic Design Department. The students had the opportunity to play interactive games, listen to MUBS alumni experiences, discover new opportunities available to them, and get to know the new initiatives and collaborations done by the university to enrich their learning experience.

During the event, the students were divided into 4 or 5 groups, and every staff member guided them through the stands. They also had the chance to watch different videos about MUBS accreditation, why study at MUBS, different departments, the virtual exchange program, the Erasmus+ program, and sports management, among others.

The students were also given the opportunity to meet representatives from the MUBS Musical Ark Club to get to know more about the fun campus life outside of academic learning. The Student Affairs Office also had its own stand to introduce students to the different activities, events, and university life. This was a chance to invite them to any upcoming event happening soon.

The visit also included a campus tour where the students were shown the state-of-the-art labs and facilities available at the university. This gave the students a glimpse into university life and what to expect if they choose to enroll at MUBS.

The orientation day was a huge success, and the students left the university feeling inspired and motivated. The visit was extremely beneficial in terms of informing students and providing them with insights into the expectations of various courses. At the same time, it was a great way to promote the university's majors and facilities, and it was a successful one with the cooperation of all involved. The event showcased the university's commitment to providing its students with the best possible education and preparing them for the challenges of the modern workforce.

This visit affirms MUBS's commitment to UN sustainable development goals, specifically, SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), SDG 16 (Peace and Justice Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Building Partnerships).
