ICAR’15 (International Conference on Applied Research in Computer Science and Engineering) aims to be an academic platform where researchers can present and discuss publications in computer science and engineering disciplines. The audience and presenters range from young students to scientists, engineers and professionals so that they can share their knowledge and experience. ICAR’15 was held on October 8th and 9th. Dr. Ahmed Bazzi, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at M.U.B.S, held a tutorial session on “E-mail and Instant Messaging Security” on October 9, 2015. The tutorial aimed to provide an explanation of the security challenges facing e-mails and instant messaging, while focusing on confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity. He demonstrated several experiments to explain the risks and solutions, along with challenges against successfully implementing them.
