As part of their project on the Coca-Cola Company, EurAsia division, students from the International School of Business (ISB) class of Strategic Management, Spears Campus, met the Corporate Executives Board represented by Mr. Fawaz Sleem, Country Manager, Lebanon, and his team for Coca-Cola Al Aujan. The aim of the visit was to introduce the students to the practice of strategic management and the integrated way in which it draws upon a wide variety of managerial functions at a well-known beverage firm such as Coca-Cola.

During their visit, the students gained conceptual understanding on the practices in which strategic decisions are made at Coca-Cola Global & EurAsia , the challenges associated with strategy implementations and the Coca-Cola process of business innovation and the implications within the firm.

The students: Hanadi Abdulbaki, Rebal Eljurdi, Taha Itani, Zakaria Akar, and William Beaini, were able to expand their own approaches to learning and training, and identify their future training needs in areas relating to strategy. The Strategic Management class of Fall 2017 encourages students to apply their knowledge and awareness of strategy to the practitioner while interacting with the Coca-Cola management, as a case study, in a variety of ways such as debates, discussions, case studies, analyses, presentations and problem solving.
