As part of the "Science in the Community" seminar series, the School of Health Sciences has organized a seminar entitled “The Future of Medicine – Stem Cell Applications” on Thursday April 6th, 2017.
The seminar was presented by Mr. Charbel Khalil, Laboratory Director at Reviva Stem Cells Research and Applications Center. In his talk, Mr. Khalil stressed on the importance of stem cells in the field of research and how laboratory studies enabled scientists to learn about the cells’ essential properties. Therefore, spreading awareness on stem cells and its future applications are essential. Mr. Khalil noted that stem cells research is expanding in Lebanon due to the efforts of the Reviva Center team. The Center provides the most advanced and innovative stem cell-based services which include umbilical cord banking.
