Amal Safwan Hawari is a doctoral candidate in social work, holding an MBA from the Modern University for Business and Science and a Bachelor's degree in social work from Saint Joseph University. She currently serves as the acting head of the social work department at the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS).
Amal is distinguished by her dynamic leadership and strategic vision, excelling in guiding academic departments towards achieving excellence and innovation. She has previously held several prominent positions, including assistant dean of the social work department at MUBS, academic coordinator of the department, as well as her role as a lecturer, where she taught courses on social work practices, community engagement, and individual and family support.
Amal has also conducted specialized training courses on various social issues, including mental health, child protection, and psychological topics. In addition, she has extensive experience providing consulting services related to social work for numerous local and international non-governmental organizations.
She has published several articles and research papers specializing in child protection, women's rights within the personal status system, and national and international laws, contributing to the enhancement of knowledge on these issues and finding sustainable solutions for them.
