Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education (BAECE)

The Bachelor of Arts program in Early Childhood Education is designed to provide students with a comprehensive care and education knowledge of children from Pre-K to 3rd grade. The program focuses on preparing students for a career as teacher at day care centers, kindergarten, and pre-school programs. Students learn about child’s development, nutrition, arts and crafts, play, and psychology.

Program Requirements: 94 Credits consist of:

36 cr. of general university requirements

12 cr. general education requirements,

24 cr. elective courses

58 cr. of Mandatory requirements

24 cr. major requirements

 

 Career opportunities

Students graduating with a BA in Early Childhood Education have the opportunity to work as Early Childhood education specialist, Lead Teacher, Day Care Center Administrator/Manager, program specialist, and Curriculum Specialist.
