Free Dissemination Event about the Erasmus+ project “Female Academic Role Model Empowerment, Equality and Sustainability at Universities in Mediterranean Region: towards 2030 Agenda (FREE)”

 
The office of International Affairs in MUBS organized on June 22, 2020 a dissemination event about the Erasmus+ project “Female Academic Role Model Empowerment, Equality and Sustainability at Universities in Mediterranean Region: towards 2030 Agenda (FREE)”

Coordinated by the National Distance Education University-UNED- (SPAIN), this project aims at enhancing the role of female academics in Lebanon, Jordan and Syria through increasing the number of women present in decision making and senior management level.  

The awareness event serving the dissemination of FREE is a way to showcase the work that has been done as part of this Erasmus+ project. Sharing results, lessons learned and outcomes and findings to enable internal stakeholders (students, admin staff and faculty members) to benefit from the FREE Erasmus+ project that has received EU funding. This dissemination activity will contribute to a positive internal perception, extend the impact, and encourage wider participation and engagement in the FREE Erasmus+ project.

Around 40 MUBS faculty, staff, and students attended the event which included a welcome speech by MUBS President Professor Ali Cheaib, FREE awareness & progress presentation by the Vice President for International Affairs Professor Bassem Kaissi, and FREE training courses & open discussion with Mrs. Diana Maddah (Public Health instructor) and Mr. Nidal Nassar (Office of International Affairs).
