Running Erasmus+ capacity building project

Menasafe (www.menasafe.eu) : “Master Curriculum, Capacity Building and Network Development in Traffic Safety in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon MENASAFE” is a 3 – year project being realized in a consortium of 9 Universities. It is co – funded by the European Union within the ERASMUS + Programme - Capacity building in the field of higher education. The main objective of the project is to reform and modernize at partner universities in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon a master curriculum in road traffic safety on the basis of the EU existing standards and practices.

BIRD :

The main aim is to disseminate good practices in benchmarking analysis applied to university international relations in order to identify areas for change, and assists in setting targets for improvement.

ALTAIR :

the overall objective of the project is to strengthen the institutional capacity of Arab Universities in support of policy, management and planning at national and regional levels in order to meet accountability needs and successfully address growing demands upon Arab HEIs, despite diminishing resources.

TIES :

The purpose of the project is to contribute to the development of international relations (IRs) management in HEIs in the MEDA region, in particular in Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, and Jordan.

LHEM :

The main objective of this project is to improve leadership, governance and management of MEDA region higher education and converge it with that of EU universities.

ASPIRE:

The ASPIRE Project aims to enhance the capacity of the six consortium universities in Jordan, Lebanon and the Occupied Palestinian Territory by enabling them to develop sustainable programmes in entrepreneurship in their countries.

UNAM :

The aim of this project is to lend specific support to institutional demands for increased efficiency, autonomy and transparency in FM in partnering Southern Neighbouring Area (SNA) HEIs, in line with national schemes & regional Tempus priorities.

TLQAA :

The purpose of this project is to develop well accepted and tested QA standards and procedures that could be directly used by the Lebanese QA agency. The project, targeting and involving the whole LHE system, will strongly enhance the quality culture with a good understanding of accountability and continuous improvement concepts.

MIMI :

The objective of this EU TEMPUS project is to develop an internationalization management model in partner institutions in Lebanon, Jordan and Morocco in order to provide appropriate knowledge and means to improve internationalization actions and activities that contribute to the sustainability of the international dimension of partner institutions.

IDEAL :

The IDEAL project, addressed as a national structural measure within higher education and society and aligned with the Tempus priority of “developing partnerships with enterprises,” seeks to augment inputs and outputs for RD&I in Lebanon to improve its economic strength and global competitiveness.

T-MEDA :

Tuning MEDA project is aimed at the implementation of the Bologna tools in Southern Neighboring Area universities through building of a framework of comparable, compatible and transparent programs of studies.

MATRE :

MATRE project contributes towards modernizing the higher education sector in LB/SY by supporting the “Higher Education & Society” TEMPUS programme theme. This will be realized by establishing 2 centers for international quality research & sustainable curricula development in the Business, Economics & Management fields at MUBS (LB) & AIU (SY) to lead the research environment development in cooperation with LB/SY universities (LU&IUST), business representatives & similar centers in EU & neighboring countries.

BUCUM :

The wider objective of the project is to demonstrate that good management practices can build sustainable Higher Education cooperation between nations. The project does this by addressing the challenges facing the management of a global university in the 21st Century.

VIETUD :

The overall objective of the project is to support student services in the participating higher education institutions (HEIs) from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Lebanon of the consortium . This support is based on tools and methodologies specifically designed according to European best practices and aiming at meeting the needs and expectations of students in a globalized world. Moreover, the project aims at developing a quality assurance culture among staff and students in the participating HEIs.

MEDAWEL :

MEDAWEL provides Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) in Southern Neighbouring Area (SNA) with a holistic approach to student services (SS) for increased student wellbeing and applicable service offers via targeted planning and development on institutional, national and regional levels, in line with national goals and regional Tempus priorities.

ELEMENT :

the Egypt-Lebanon-EU Mobility Exchange NeTwork (ELEMENT) aims to promote European higher education, to help improve and enhance the career prospects of students and to promote intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries, in accordance with EU external policy objectives in order to contribute to the sustainable development of third countries in the field of higher education.

PEACE :

The objective of PEACE project directly corresponds to the development of further collaboration among EU and Middle East Institutions for sending and hosting mobility of talented students and staff, enhancement capacity, transparency and employability as well as skills and qualification of institutions and individuals.

EPIC :

The EPIC project aims to promote European higher education, to help improve and enhance the career prospects of students and to promote intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries, in accordance with EU external policy objectives in order to contribute to the sustainable development of third countries in the field of higher education.

PHOENIX :

The PHOENIX project intends to develop a structured mobility-based cooperation between 3 Palestinian, 2 Lebanese, 1 Syrian and 2 Jordanian HEIs on the one side and 9 EU HEIs from the second side. This cooperation network aims at supporting students from all levels (undergraduate, Master and PhD and Posdoctoral) academic staff, researchers and administrative staff to gain experiences, expertise and skills through interaction in an international environment.
