The Committee, in its advisory capacity makes recommendations to:
5.1 Incorporate up-to-date resources and equipment on an ongoing basis. 

5.2 Ensure Library staff members are familiar with the use of non-print resources and innovations 
included in the collection. 

5.3 Maintain an ongoing program of user education, including development of material to help users. 

5.4 Maintain the Library web site and ensures it is up to date. 

5.5 Create guides to assist students to access electronic resources. 

5.6 Maintain an accurate Library on-line catalogue. 

5.7 Provide skilled help to users in obtaining needed information in a complex environment. 
5.8 Provide avenues for feedback and requests. 

5.9 Maintain regular meetings of the Library Committee. 

MEETING CYCLE Meetings are to be held the first week of each month or as requested by its Chair, Provost, President, or Chairman.

To encourage faculty to demonstrate links between acquisitions between courses and 
research programs.
To make recommendations on request for purchase.
To make recommendations that help the University Council and Board of Trustees determine the library budget.
To prioritize and rank requests for purchase of library capital items. 

Make recommendations on issues relating to site licenses, library grants, database usage, etc. 
To recommend to the University Council on the optimum levels of staffing and services.
To comment, discuss, recommend on any issue related to the library and its services and 
facilities.
