- Smoking is not allowed in
public access, teaching or working areas in any of the University’s buildings.
- The policy includes private
offices, libraries, auditoriums, staircases, toilets, storerooms, lifts, and
University vehicles.
- All forms of smoking
(cigarettes, cigars, pipes, electronic cigarettes, etc.) are prohibited.
Smoking cannot be considered safe or less harmful in any amount or form.
- All students, faculty,
staff or visitors who enter any property owned or controlled by the University
should know about the policy.
- It is the responsibility of
all members of the University community to comply with this policy.
- Students/employees need to
be kept well informed about changes to University policy.
- The success of policy depends
on the thoughtfulness, consideration, and cooperation of smokers and
non-smokers.
