Awards

  • IBDAA Award for best Environmental Intervention: “Community-based intervention to promote safe knowledge and environmental practices of pesticides among Lebanese farmers”.
  • Selected as a representative from Lebanon to participate in the 8th International Exhibition and Conference on Higher Education (IECHE), KSA,April 2019
  • Award for best poster- presentation of final project at the Faculty of Public Health at AUB Spring 2014.
  • Award from Delta Omega, the honorary society of Public Health. It aims to encourage and recognize excellence in practice, research, education and academic achievement in the field of Public Health.
  • Awarded Knowledge Is Power (KIP) Grant funded by the US Department for conducting an academic research about Gender Inequity in Lebanon.
  • Emerging Scholar Award for the 2020 Thirteenth International Conference on e-Learning & Innovative Pedagogies, 23-24 April, in Rhodes, Greece.

 


Short Bio

Diana Maddah has a Master degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut. She is pursuing her PhD in Public Health in a joint program between the Lebanese University and American University of Beirut. She got many awards such as the Delta Omega Award for excellence in public health. She co-lead many projects related to virtual exchange programs, women empowerment, youth engagement and democracy & citizenship programs. She worked at Haigazian University as a Project Coordinator and as a Head of Recruitment and Impact Measurement at Teach For Lebanon NGO. She presents and attends many local and international leadership workshops in London, Peru, Spain, India, Bulgaria, Thailand, etc. Diana joined the Modern University for Business & Science in 2016 as a Public Health Instructor and a Research Director in 2018. She published many academic papers. As a part of her work at the National Wellness Network, founded by MUBS, she builds a network with the municipalities and NGOs to promote public health and wellness among community members especially the marginalized ones.
