Short Bio
Khaleel Mershad is an Associate Professor and the chair of the ComputerScience department at the Modern University for Business and Science(MUBS). He received his BE in Computer Engineering and Informatics fromBeirut Arab University, Lebanon, in 2004, and his ME and Ph.D. degrees inComputer and Communications Engineering from the American University ofBeirut (AUB), in 2007 and 2012. He worked as a Research Director at AUBbetween 2012 and 2013, and at Qatar University between 2013 and 2016. InAugust 2016 he became an Assistant Professor at AUL University, and waspromoted to Associate Professor in 2019. Dr. Mershad is an IEEE membersince 2018. He has been involved in many research projects in the fields ofmobile computing, cybersecurity and blockchain, and wireless networks. Hepublished more than 50 scientific papers in highly reputed journals andconferences related to Computer Science and Engineering. His researchinterests include ad hoc networks, vehicular communications, Internet ofThings, data management and availability, parallel and distributedcomputing, cloud computing, blockchain, and educational technology.
