Helping Displaced Families in Lebanon
Lebanon is facing a war that has internally displaced over 1.5 million of its population, 29 villages totally wiped out, and over 40,000 housing
units destroyed, placing unprecedented strain on its economic, social, and medical resources. Since October 2023, MoPH estimates that over
3,000 civilians have tragically lost their lives, with 13,400 injured due to constant airstrikes. Children are particularly affected, with 166 deaths,
1,168 injuries, and many more suffering from severe trauma.
More than 50% of Lebanon’s public schools are now shelters, leaving 546,000 displaced students without stable access to education. This lack
of learning opportunities risks lasting educational setbacks and threatens Lebanon’s future workforce and societal development.
Now, more than ever, we must stand united to ensure Lebanon’s children are not left behind in this crisis because Together We Are Stronger.

BENEFICIARIES
Due to the urgent crisis caused by the ongoing war that erupted in September 2024 after the Israeli incursion into the Lebanese south and the mass displacement of over 1.5 million Lebanese citizens from their villages, the “Together We Are Stronger” Campaign is a collaborative initiative designed to support displaced children, mothers, and teenagers across multiple regions. Focused on promoting emotional well-being, social interaction, and community support, the campaign provides essential services in health, education, and mental well-being. Engaging volunteers and partnering with different entities, it has reached over a thousand beneficiaries, making a significant impact through health assessments, educational activities, and psychological support, offering hope and resilience during this challenging time.
MUBS and its NGO arm, NWN, are leading a holistic campaign that reflects the University’s core mission of community development and service across Lebanon. Across our campuses and centers, MUBS and NWN volunteers collaborate with our partners—including municipalities, NGOs, and syndicates—to support host and displaced communities by providing clothing, food, emotional support for parents and children, health awareness campaigns, medication, and healthcare services.
